Senior Business Analyst
Visual Connections, LLC is seeking a Senior Business Analyst. The Senior Business Analyst will be primarily dedicated to documenting business processes, understanding the business requirements that are integrated into Federal Occupation Health (FOH) systems and understanding the gaps in business requirements that are not addressed in existing FOH systems.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in applying common best practices for the industry to the customer using a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to identify relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages
Assess the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components and help to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed
Identify information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional
area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals
Generate functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization
Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products, such as ERP implementations
coordinating the resolution of highly complex problems and tasks
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs
Documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies
Required Skills:
5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst or related field
Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts
Experience in FOH systems (STM, FMERITS and FedHealth (COTS)) a plus
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
May lead and direct the work of others
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Visio and other business modeling tools
Minimum 2 years’ experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN)
Education Requirements:
BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or related field
5+ years of experience as an IT Business/Functional Analyst
